Controlling the SMS Tracker from your mobile phone.

Using your SMS007 global asset tracker.

Charging your unit:
Place the charger connector into the tracker, this will automatically power up the tracking unit, its best to turn off the tracker to charge the tracker correctly.

Turning your tracker on & off:
Hold the button in and wait for the led green light to flash fast, once this happens press the same button three times very quickly, this will turn off the tracker (No green light on)
charge for 3 hours, this should give the battery a full charge, you will see the battery level on screen once your tracker updates.

Turning on the tracker:
holding the green button down, you will see the green led come on and the unit will begin starting, this is usually apparent by the green light permanently on this normally will stay illuminated for 10-15 seconds (the green light will start to flash as soon as the unit is ready)

Locating your tracking unit (POLL)
To locate your tracker or see where it is, simply click the poll button at the bottom of your mapping screen and select an option example: (Locatenow)
Enter your password, usually the default password is the numeric value of 0000 then click send, your tracker is now updated to the option you have selected.
You can also select an auto track interval, the unit will send 255 tracks before it will need to have the auto command re sent again. (This is to protect your sim card credit)

Shockmode3: (cell phone mode)
Set this mode by sending SHOCKALARM*123456 to your tracker by SMS message, once you send this command you will render the unit into a special movement alert mode. When the unit/vehicle is knocked it will wake up and send a tracking command to your mobile/cell phone & activate the tracking system auto report mode, setting it to report every two minuets provided the movement continues. It will then move to track every two minuets until the unit stops moving for more then 5 minutes.
Once movement is stopped the unit will stop sending reports, at which point it will return to sleep mode again. This is a very good mode for using the unit as a motorcycle alarm or car alarm, also as a trigger for just about any asset that should not be moving anywhere. (This event works three times then needs to be re set by sending an SMS from your cell phone) Try experimenting with this mode, you can set it on by sending the command above from your cell phone.

Once you have sent the reset command, send 'locatenow' (you may need to send this command twice if your system dose not update the first time.)
your unit is now back to the original setting reporting its location to the server.

Shockmode3: (POLL from server account)
Once you set this mode by POLLing from the server your tracker will act as above waiting for movement before it goes into auto report mode and then send tracking data every two minuets to your server account where it will be stored in your mapping system for future reference.

If you send the setshock3 command from the server you will put your tracker in auto track mode triggered by movement but you will not receive an sms alert to your cell phone, the set shock3 function sent from your server account is different from the setshock3 setting sent from your cell phone.

Setting auto track eg: rptEvery30sec:
This function will allow the tracker to send reports to the server every 30 seconds.
Respectively the other rptEveryxxsec will set the tracking unit to automatically report to the relevant time intervals.

LocateNow:
This is the most common setting that most people use, By POLLING this command to your tracker it will relay its position to your mapping page where the location will be saved for you online in your personal account.
In this mode the unit should run for and stand by for up to 15 days on once charge, its important to note the more frequently you activate the GPS function for tracking, the faster the battery will run down as GPS uses a lot of power.
In Locate now mode the trackers GPS is switched off by default, so make sure you allow one to two minuets for you mapping to update once you send the command, this is because as soon as your tracking unit receives the locatenow command it will turn on its GPS to find its position before reporting its position to you, this can some times take one minuet or so.
When using locate now, POLL once and if required POLL again, then wait refreshing your screen, you location will update!

Their is not need to POLL the command more then Once.

GEO Fence:
To set a geo fence click the geo fence button and follow the on screen instructions, you can send alerts direct to your mobile phone or e-mail.

The unit is a totally self contained tracking system which will be connected to our server as soon as you purchase it.
Standby time could be up to 16 days (Subjective to track time) (Pay as you go)

The Mini track has 50 POLLs allocated to it from the time you purchase it, you can check your polls by clicking the POLL button you will then see your number of POLLs in the pop up box.

To purchase POLLs click buy polls in the tracking consult & follow the instructions.
Your tracker will be sent out to you online with £5 credit on the internal sim card normally T-mobile.
Do not change the sim card in your tracker as this will stop you unit from working and may damage the tracking unit.
Do not open the sim card slot in your tracker as this is a waterproof seal and should be checked to make sure it is seated properly in the slot of the tracking unit.

Their is also a power point connection with a waterproof connector located in the whole, this should be pushed into the power point charging whole when ever the unit is not on charge.
Use any sim card - T-MOBILE IS RECOMENDED!
